On Saturday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Double Brook Farm, along with Brick Farm Tavern, Brick Farm Market, and Red Barn Milk Co., will be sponsoring the Double Brook Farm Fest — a day of music on the St. Michael’s Farm Preserve.

Rock, Bluegrass, Country, and Folk on the fields! Featured bands will include The Goods, Frog Holler, Moonshine & Millet, Hinton, Bower, Jones, and East Coast Ambush, among others. BYO chairs and blankets and get a spot near the stage.

Vendors selling delicious festival food and local swag will be on hand to keep you fed and hydrated. Gluten free and vegetarian options available. Look for some of the following edibles:

Brick Farm Tavern: Chorizo, Chickpea Tinga, Smoked Pork Ribs, Chocolate Chip Cookies

Brick Farm Market: Turkey Legs, Pulled Pork, Slaw, Popcorn, Candied Apples, Doughnuts, Watermelon Slices

Red Barn Milk Co.: Burgers (Beef & Veggie), Troon Beer Brats, Hot Dogs and Ice Cream

Nomad Pizza: Savory and Sweet Pizza

Farm Juice: Cold Pressed Juice, Infused Water and Cider

Did we mention that there will also be a beer garden? For the 21+ set, there will be eight taps of local craft libations running throughout the day. Seven taps of beer, including beer by the impossible-to-get Troon Brewing. Plus, one tap dedicated to IronBound Hard Cider (gluten free!). Valid ID required for entry.

The beautiful St. Michaels Farm Preserve is a 400-acre parcel preserved in 2010 by the D&R Greenway Land Trust and farmed by Double Brook Farm. Between acts, wander the paths to lookouts and shaded groves throughout the preserve. You might even see some sheep or goats on your way.

Tickets to the event (including entry, parking, and bands all day) are $25 online at doublebrookfarm.com and $35 at the door. Kids under 12 are free. There will also be complimentary hay rides from noon to 3 p.m.
