Volunteer

Lifeties, which provides a nurturing, safe environment for at-risk youth, seeks volunteers with diverse skills to help our youth meet their potentials. Share your passions, talents, hobbies, and experiences, become a mentor, and serve as a positive role model. Information sessions will be held Wednesday, December 5, at 5:30 p.m., and Thursday, December 13, at 5:30 p.m. at 1901 North Olden Avenue, Suite 44, 2nd Floor, Ewing. The Old Barracks seeks volunteers to help out during Patriots Week, December 26 – 31. Volunteers are especially needed on Saturday, December 29, to help welcome visitors and direct them to the dozens of Patriots Week events happening in downtown Trenton. Some positions involve standing outside. Bagels and lunch will be provided. To volunteer email lronaghan@barracks.org with your skills and availability.

Donate

Villagers Theater at 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset, hosts a coat drive during its December productions. The theater will be accepting clean, gentlyused coats, hats, scarves, and gloves to be donated to One Warm Coat (www.onewarmcoat.org). A box will be located in the Villagers lobby for our collection through Tuesday, December 18. Donations can be dropped off during the following hours: December 5 to 7, 6 to 10 p.m.; December 8, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; December 9, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; December 15, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; December 16, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; December 18, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. For more information email donna@villagerstheatre.com.

Audition

Kelsey Theater holds auditions for “Peter and the Starcatcher” on Sunday, December 9, from noon to 5 p.m., and Monday, December 10, from 7 to 10 p.m. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held Thursday, December 13. All roles are open, and actors of all ethnic backgrounds will be considered for all roles. Performers are asked to prepare a contemporary monologue of approximately one minute.
