‘Sublime and beautiful” described both the setting and the theme for the Princeton University Art Museum’s annual gala, which this year coincided with the winter exhibition “Pastures Green and Dark Satanic Mills: The British Passion for Landscape.” The exhibit, on view through April 24, features landscape masterpieces from the 17th to 20th centuries.

The black-tie event started with cocktails in the museum and moved to Prospect House for dinner and dancing. Funds raised by the gala support the museum’s ongoing free programming, including more than 145,000 visitors annually and many others who take advantage of the museum’s online resources.

Missed the party but still want to support the museum? Consider becoming a friend. Individual membership starts at $75 per year, all the way up to $2,500 per year for “Partners” of the museum. Visit artmuseum.princeton.edu for more information.
