Great Looks Hair Salon —Mercer County’s only “multicultural hair salon” located in the Mercer Mall — is kicking off its five-year anniversary festivities with “A Red Carpet Oscar Night” celebration on Friday, February 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. The evening will be a fun-filled session of beauty that will highlight the styles of the 2014 movie season. The day will also be used to bring awareness and raise funds for the Childhelp Partnership Organization (www.childhelp.org).
Owner and master stylist Denise Taylor and her staff will be pulling out all the stops during this special event. The salon will be decorated with a red carpet, and the stylists will be wearing ball gowns . Denise says “we are gearing up to celebrate the great style and beauty of the Oscars program, but we are doing it in support of a good cause.” Profits from that evening will go to the Childhelp Partnership, a leading national non-profit organization dedicated to helping the victims of child abuse and neglect.
The welfare and support of disenfranchised children are very important to Denise and her staff. Denise adds “the statistics around child abuse are staggering, and we want to do our part in supporting children across the state of New Jersey.”
Great Looks’ “Oscar Night” will feature uniquely priced service specials to highlight how important hair and makeup can be to a movie. Discounted services include: $25 haircuts, $20 blow outs, and $20 makeup applications. Children’s haircuts will cost $1 per year of age, up to age 10. The salon will have a very festive environment for the entire night — including a DJ, drinks/food, and a “friendly” paparazzi station to help you capture your new look.
