Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go to Cuba? The MIDJersey Chamber is giving you a chance to find out. Though under current travel restrictions United States citizens are forbidden to travel to the country, the chamber has obtained a license from the federal government for an all-inclusive, eight-day “People to People” educational/cultural mission, scheduled to start September 20.

The chamber will host a special “Discover Cuba” presentation to inform people about the trip, sponsored by its La Liga Hispanic Council, on Tuesday, March 19, at 5:30 p.m. at Villa Romanza Ristorante Italiano, in Yardville. For more information or to register visit www.MIDJerseyChamber.org/ChamberTravel or call 609-689-9960, ext. 15.

The trip, which includes first-class accommodations, will offer the opportunity to explore Cuba with professionally trained Cuban hosts. The itinerary includes visits to Old Havana, Hemingway’s Farm, a tour of Bocoy Rum Factory, a Tropicana Show, and a visit to a cigar factory.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer what may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Robert Prunetti, MIDJersey chamber president and CEO. “Cuba is not only rich with history and culture, but its connection to the United States is inescapable. Its people, music and traditions are captivating and compelling to experience.”
