20 Nassau Street: The Building for Princeton Area Professionals

This historic Princeton landmark building, fully updated and wired for today’s world, is home to approximately one hundred small, professional practices: attorneys, accountants, therapists, independent financial advisors, internet designers, architects, and Princeton professors.

The convenient configuration of the building – smaller, single office suites that can be expanded by one or by several adjoining suites, work wonderfully well for both the expanding and downsizing practice. Several large, open plan spaces available in the Chambers Street wing of 20 Nassau Street offer the collaborative, interactive office so popular with Internet startups.

And parking? “It’s not much of a problem” reports Peter Madison, Property Manager. “There is one large, multi-story parking garage directly across Chambers Street, and two more multi-story garages nearby. Plus, the Town of Princeton offers Smart Cards, good to swipe at all Town parking meters, for parking from two hours to ten hours with one swipe.”

Long-time tenants of 20 Nassau Street report that their clients love to visit them. It’s the location, they say: At the corner of Nassau and Chambers streets, in the attractive, bustling, center of Princeton, with its many charming restaurants, lively street scene, and the handsome, historic Princeton University campus across the street.

The Management reports that many satisfied tenants have stayed at 20 Nassau Street for thirty to forty years, now augmented by inflows of twenty-something, Internet entrepreneurs. Thanks to this degree of demand, the building is frequently 100 percent occupied, and Management frequently can only add the names of tenant applicants to its waiting list.

Madison also notes that the management offices are on-site, and offer tenants a dedicated Facilities Manager, Jeremiah E. Obert, a dedicated maintenance crew and custodial crew. Madison welcomes inquiries from prospective tenants at chambersproperties@verizon.net.
