Patricia C. Donohue, president of Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, has been named to a two-year term on the board of directors of the New Jersey Technology Council.

“The alignment of educational institutions with the NJTC mission is critical. We want students to attend New Jersey colleges and launch their careers in the state,” says Maxine Ballen, president and CEO of the NJTC, adding that Donohue is the only community college representative on the board.

“The NJTC is committed to the continued development of a highly educated technology work force ready to take on the challenges of the 21st century,” says Ballen.

Donohue says her appointment aligns with MCCC’s goals. “We seek to provide our students with technology skills that will be valued in the workplace and give them an edge in their careers. My appointment to the NJTC Board will enable me to bring back what I learn from business leaders to ensure that our students are well prepared for the future.”

Meanwhile, Einstein’s Alley has named two new members to its board of trustees — John E. Gagliano, senior vice president, chief operating officer, and general counsel of EPS Corporation in Tinton Falls; and Stephen J. Kasser, president of SJK Communications in Flemington.

Einstein’s Alley is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting central New Jersey as a location for technology companies.

Continuing as members of Einstein’s Alley board are Thomas Bracken, president of the NJ Chamber of Commerce; Jay Davis, project executive, Turner Construction; Herbert Greenberg, president and CEO, Caliper Corporation; Karen A. Jezierny, Princeton University director of public affairs; Stephen E. Morgan, CEO, American Clean Energy and former president of JCPL First Energy; Pascal Seradarian, former CEO of Hutchinson Industries; Louis P. Wagman, Technology Management Associates and entrepreneur-in-residence, NJIT Enterprise Development Center; and Richard C. Woodbridge, patent attorney, Fox Rothschild LLP.

Richard J. Pinto, Princeton managing shareholder, Stevens and Lee P.C., is the corporate secretary. Anne Eby, CPA, is treasurer. Executive Director Katherine Kish, president of Market Entry, serves as an ex-officio member of the board.

Retiring from the board are Robert Giordano, president, RFG and former research chief, Fort Monmouth; and Marguerite L. Mount, CPA, CGW, managing director of the Mercadien Group.
