Donna V. Petro, above, capture/business development manager at Alexander Road-based BANC3, a business operations consulting company, has been elected president of the Industrial Representatives Association for 2012.

The association monitors the requirements of government research and development, holding a series of monthly government guest speaker briefings and committee activities. It also follows policy, requirements, and trends in the government acquisition system to help prepare members for business development.

Petro is only the third woman to be named president since the IRA’s inception in 1965.

The IRA currently has more than 230 active members representing some 110 companies that provide products and support services to the US Army’s C4ISR Life Cycle Management (surveillance and reconnaissance) activities in New Jersey and Maryland.
