Building Your Brand

Think of branding and most people think of products on a supermarket shelf or cars lined up at the dealer. But Peter Connolly, chief marketing officer for St. Peter’s Health Care in New Brunswick says that branding has been critical to the hospital’s success in the community.

Connolly will discuss “Branding and Lessons Learned” at the Middlesex Chamber’s Third Thursday Leadership Luncheon on February 16 at 11:45 a.m. at the Courtyard Marriott-Cranbury. Cost: $65. Visit www.mcrcc.org.

In St. Peter’s case, the brand is known for being a major maternity center, with the largest neo-natal intensive care facility between Boston and Washington, D.C.

More recently, Connolly says. St. Peter’s expanded into Skillman with the opening of its Urgent Care Center (U.S. 1, January 25). It is also rolling out campaigns to highlight its epilepsy and breast care centers. Connolly will discuss all these plus the legal and legislative framework in which a hospital must operate.
