Author and career coach Jean Bauer will be at the Hamilton Public Library on Tuesday, March 13, to talk about “What’s Stopping You From Landing The Job You Want?”

Bauer will address obstacles that often get in the way of job seekers, how to stay motivated and organized, and ways to make the process more enjoyable. She will also answer questions, and copies of her first book, “Eliminated! Now What? Finding Your Way from Job-Loss Crisis to Career Resilience,” will be available.
Bauer has worked for 18 years as a career coach with major outplacement firms, including Lee Hecht Harrison, and Seagate and Manchester. She has also worked extensively as a writer, coach, and corporate trainer.
She recently earned the highest designation awarded career counselors, the Certified Management Fellow from the Institute of Career Certification International.
The author of numerous career transition articles, Bauer worked as a freelance writer and published short fiction. She also worked as a corporate trainer for Communispond and helped revise its business writing program. She is a graduate of Lake Forest College in Illinois.
