An internationally acknowledged spine and scoliosis surgeon, Dr. Darryl Antonacci is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Fellow of the Scoliosis Research Society, Fellow of the Cervical Spine Research Society, and active member of the North American Spine Society.

He evaluates patients in New Jersey near Princeton, and in Manhattan on the Upper East Side. He performs spine and scoliosis surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan and the University Medical Center at Princeton, with privileges also at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York and Somerset Hospital in New Jersey. He also evaluates children and routinely performs complex scoliosis and spinal deformity surgery at the prestigious Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, where he is a senior spine surgery consultant. He performs cutting-edge spine deformity surgery such as Vertebral Body Stapling, and minimally invasive fusion surgery techniques.

Dr. Antonacci has extensive surgical experience in adults and children with particular interest in scoliosis surgery and complex adult reconstructive spine surgery including minimally invasive fusion techniques. He uses cutting edge surgical techniques he has pioneered, such as minimally invasive, muscle sparing fusion surgery, which drastically reduces blood loss, shortens hospital stays, and provides faster recoveries.

He is one of a select few individuals able to perform thoracoscopic vertebral body stapling for scoliosis as an alternative to bracing, thoracoscopic scoliosis surgery, percutaneous and mini-open, and muscle sparing fusion surgery. He is one of a select few orthopaedic spine surgeons in Manhattan and New Jersey who is an active member of the two premier spine societies for spine surgeons — the Scoliosis Research Society and the Cervical Spine Research Society. He is one of the select few individuals worldwide who has twice been awarded the prestigious Russell Hibbs Award for Research from the Scoliosis Research Society.

Come meet him and his team.
