The Bank of Princeton has welcomed a new branch office on Nassau Street and a new top administrator. Edward J. Dietzler has been named acting president, replacing Steven C. Ackmann, who recently resigned to pursue other opportunities, according to Andrew M. Chon, bank chairman.
Dietzler, formerly the executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been with the Bank of Princeton since September, 2009, as a senior officer and member of the executive committee. He has overseen the day-to-day operations of the bank’s 11 branches and been closely involved with its mergers and acquisitions activity as well as its risk management oversight.
“Ed Dietzler has demonstrated the requisite abilities to step into the president’s role,” says Chon. “He has developed close relationships with each of our branch managers and with our officers, board members, and investors. He will guide us through very exciting developments at the bank in the coming months.”
Before Bank of Princeton, Dietzler was a managing director at Bear Stearns Bank and Trust, Princeton; first senior vice president of capital markets at Yardville National Bank; and director of risk management with GMAC Mortgage Corporation.
A resident of Langhorne, PA, Dietzler earned a B.A. in finance and MBA from Widener University.
Bank of Princeton is a community bank founded in 2007 and has eight branches in New Jersey, including three in Princeton and others in Hamilton, Pennington, Montgomery, Monroe Township and Lambertville. It operates three branches under the MoreBank name in the Philadelphia area.
The bank’s newest branch — at 194 Nassau Street — opened at the end of December. It joins locations at 21 Chambers Street and 183 Bayard Lane.
Branch hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday; 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday; and closed Sunday.
The branch is located between two competitors, with Sovereign Bank to one side and Wells Fargo Bank immediately next door on the other side.
