Katharine Parker Lasley, 85, on February 25. She was the former owner of Princeton Aqua Sports and was active with the Shark Research Institute, joining Peter Benchley and Stan Waterman to help people appreciate the shark species. She was also the co-founder of the Mercer Alliance for the Mentally Ill.

A celebration of her life will be held at her home on Cherry Valley Road, Princeton, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 5. Van service will be provided from the parking lot at Research Park or DJ Business Services on Route 206.

Adam Panzer, 38, on February 22. He was employed for 15 years with CCL Label of Hightstown.

Joel Sterns, 76, on February 21. He founded Trenton-based law firm Sterns & Weinroth and was a casino lawyer who helped steer New Jersey’s first gambling hall through the licensing process in the 1970s.

William Michaels on February 20. He was a programmer and a technical writer at Princeton Financial Systems.

Nelly Escobar Alter on February 20. She retired in 2005 after 30 years as an operating room technician at the University Medical Center at Princeton.

Veronica Boone-Shorter, 76, on February 18. She was a resident living specialist at Skillman Development Center.

Edward House, 81, on February 13. He taught chemistry, physics, and mathematics at Mercer County Community College for more than 40 years. As a teenager he was a sidekick and straight man for the Ernie Kovacs radio program in Trenton.
