Assist America Gets Pets On Board

Assist America Inc., a global emergency services company based at 202 Carnegie Center, is launching a new new company, Global Travel Plus, which will serve as the parent company for several specialized travel assistance subsidiaries.

One subsidiary is Global Pet Plus, which provides assistance for pets traveling with or without their owners. Pet owners will have access to veterinary referrals, names of boarding facilities near travel locations, prescription assistance, and pre-trip checklists. Other specialized subsidiaries are expected in the near future.

Founded in 1990, Assist America is the largest provider of global emergency and medical services in the world. The company works in conjunction with employee benefit plans to help members who become medically compromised while traveling. The company serves more than 30 million members and more than 300,000 businesses and organizations.
