Windsor Dermatology in East Windsor is pleased to welcome Dr. Meghan Feely to its medical team in the field of medical and surgical dermatology with a special interest in cosmetic dermatology.
“The beauty of cosmetic dermatology as a specialization is that you can treat the whole person,” explains Dr. Feely. “It increases a person’s confidence from school to the workplace to daily life. It is incredibly gratifying. Our patients have a wide variety of cosmetic needs and we have the tools to meet them. We offer a welcoming environment for patients and can treat patients with medical and cosmetic needs in one location. Our patients are treated as part of the Windsor Dermatology family.”
On Tuesday, December 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Dr. Feely is hosting a cosmetic open house at Windsor Dermatology on One Mile Road Extension in East Windsor. During this free consultation, Dr. Feely will review the latest in BOTOX, fillers, and lasers, and answer questions about CoolSculpting, the newest non-invasive fat technology machine.
“CoolSculpting is an FDA-approved non-invasive approach to body contouring,” explains Dr. Feely. “Some uses include removing fat from under the chin, abdominal, bra, thigh, and flank fat. There are many applications. We are happy to have the newest technology for CoolSculpting in our office. Treatments start at just 35 minutes and can be performed over a patient’s lunch hour.”
Dr. Feely became interested in dermatology when her mother suffered from psoriasis and was treated at Windsor Dermatology. The psoriasis research being conducted by Dr. Jerry Bagel, Dr. Brian Keegan, and Dr. David Nieves attracted Dr. Feely to the practice, and to join their research team.
“Dr. Bagel has done a tremendous amount of research on psoriasis,” explains Dr. Feely. “It is really gratifying that we can offer cutting-edge clinical trials to our patients. We have a profound impact on their quality of life both psychologically and physically.”
In addition to offering typical therapies, Windsor Dermatology uses cutting-edge solutions, including phototherapy and biologics, to treat psoriasis. “We offer the best medical care and the most innovative treatments to our patients,” adds Dr. Feely. “It’s wonderful. It is the reason we go into medicine, to help people.”
Dr. Wendy Myers, Dr. Jessica Simon, and Dr. Matthew Halpern round out the team of doctors at Windsor Dermatology. Each has their own areas of expertise. Dr. Myers is particularly strong in the fields of acne, cysts, and dermatologic surgery. Dr. Simon is a fellowship trained pediatric dermatologist. Dr. Halpern focuses on treating skin cancer using Mohs surgery.
Dr. Feely graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College as a Rhodes Scholarship finalist. She earned her medical degree at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and received the Mayo Fellows Association Humanitarian of the Year Award. At the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, where she served as chief resident, she completed her dermatology residency. Dr. Feely performs BOTOX for wrinkles and fillers to restore volume, sclerotherapy for spider veins, CoolSculpting for body contouring, and many other cosmetic procedures, as well as treating patients with psoriasis and other medical dermatologic issues. The office also offers laser surgery for skin rejuvenation, brown spots, dilated blood vessels, stretch marks, scars, and hair removal.
