The Embrace

We walked down the three flights,

And in the entrance

said goodbye.

Mumbling pretenses

of well wishes.

Exchanging promises

to keep in touch.

Embracing,

What we knew

to be our last touch.

Tearful eyes,

Lying

To each other.

Three flights,

Leading to the

Entrance

Of our final

Good-bye.
