Open seven days a week, including holidays, Saint Peter’s Urgent Care Center in Skillman is located at 1378 Route 206, Suite 11, in the Village Shoppes at Montgomery across from Center Drive/Montgomery Shopping Center.
Saint Peter’s Urgent Care Center is a complete walk-in medical facility; no appointments are necessary. They treat patients of all ages, from infants to senior citizens, and every age in between, which is unique among urgent care facilities in the area. Their number one goal is patient satisfaction. One part of this is to ensure that patients do not have to wait more than a few minutes to be seen by a doctor. At most patients have to wait 15 minutes; normally there is no wait at all.
The Skillman facility has five examination rooms. You will be treated by a board-certified emergency medicine physician at all times. They offer a full range of services, including basic wellness services, such as flu shots for patients over 8 and school physicals, as well as emergency services such as fractures. They also perform diagnostic tests such as blood sugar testing, rapid flu test, and rapid strep tests.
Maria Bello, administrator at the Skillman Urgent Care Center, says “we handle everything from colds to fractures.” They are able to do x-rays and lab work on site. “We can do splints. We also do continuity of care with patient’s primary care physicians.” Within a day of a visit to their facility, they forward the information to the patient’s primary care physician in order to provide all of the information they need for follow-up visits.
They are the only urgent care facility in the area that accepts worker’s compensation cases.
Saint Peter’s Urgent Care Center in Skillman accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare. They also offer discounted self-pay rates for patients without insurance.
Patients with serious medical conditions, such as chest pain or major trauma, should call 911 immediately.
