Holding Auditions for Summer 2025

Princeton Ballet School, the Official School of American Repertory Ballet, is now holding auditions for the 2025 Advanced Summer Intensive on January 25, 2025 in Princeton, and February 1, 2025 in New Brunswick. Princeton Ballet School’s Advanced Summer Intensive is a 5-week program designed to nurture a dancer’s technical and artistic progress. This program attracts advanced students from all over the globe interested in studying with our distinguished faculty, including company dancers from American Repertory Ballet. Dancers can audition in-person or by video.

Students participating in the last three weeks of classes will have the opportunity to perform at the reputably recognized McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton. “The performance at the end of the Summer Intensive is a highlight for our students, offering them the opportunity to apply everything they’ve learned in the program, with full support from the artistic and production teams,” says Aydmara Cabrera, Princeton Ballet School’s School Director. “Working closely with choreographers, students learn to balance teamwork with individual artistry and collaborate in a dynamic, creative environment.”

Outside of the auditions in early 2025, there are also Summer Intensive opportunities for Intermediate & Junior dancers, a Children’s Ballet Camp, and Summer Open Enrollment for students aged 13 through adult. Students from the Summer Intensive may be considered for the Princeton Ballet School’s Trainee program if they meet the necessary criteria and express interest. The Trainee program offers a more long-term, pre-professional experience to continue building the skills learned during their previous training and participation in the Summer Intensive.

Princeton Ballet School is known for nurturing developing dancers in a safe and progressive way. We teach age and developmentally appropriate ballet technique classes from a syllabus that allows younger students more time for movement exploration while providing advanced students with the tools to become professional dancers, if they so choose. As a result, all of our students develop self-esteem, self-discipline, and a strong fitness level that will provide a powerful edge in any future endeavor.
