Why must they compete with coconuts

rather than bananas?

Whether glue, tools, cereal,

candy, or lozenges needed now

to prevent nuisance coughing,

a frustrated flight is built into

each anticipated use.

They protect their products

from dirt, destruction, and you.

Is it me? Not when I see grown men,

their mellow mood, patience parting,

fuming as they cope. Often, I fear

the package is better designed,

costs more, is sturdier than the product.
