by Peter Brav
Silly white ball
Silly small hole
Warm my heart
Achieve my goal
Wind me up tighter for
The very next hole
What a frustrating time
Was had by all
Hacking and following
That silly white ball
To those who say
You’d be better off in bed
I say nonsense
You’d be better off dead
And once it’s got you
This silly little game
You’ll have partners and courses
To cast your blame
But you know better
Surely you do
You know the only thing
Between you and that hole
Is you.
