Invitation to a Friend for All Seasonings

Share post:

Let us be friends a long, long time.

Not plain vanilla friends, I hope

(who, smiling blandly, hurry off

before we’ve shared two crumbs of truth),

but bitter dark sweet chocolate Friends.

Then will you listen to my tales?

And giggle at their ginger bite?

And notice subtle berried hints?

And help me find their missing spice?

Or weep with me when they’re too raw?

Will you entrust me with your own

sage-seasoned stories, let me add

a sprinkling of my essence, to

bring out the mellow notes of you?
