When fall classes begin on Sept. 17, it will be the 15th time that has happened at All That Jazz Dance Academy in Hamilton, which is celebrating that milestone anniversary this year.

Created in 1998, All That Jazz’s owner and instructors pride themselves on offering positive experience to dancers of any age and ability. The focus is on encouragement, support and fun in addition to learning dance concepts and skills.

“We don’t hold auditions for our competition team; any of our students who want to participate can,” said owner Debby Delpopolo. “We believe it builds self-esteem. When children are told they can do it, they go further.”

Registration for the fall will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, September 10 and 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the studio. Classes are available for those as young as two and a half through adults. Popular dance styles include hip-hop, ballet, advanced pointe, adult beginner ballet, musical theater, lyrical, jazz and tap.

“We have boys-only break dancing for boys six and up,” Delpopolo added. “Guest teacher Slam, who some might remember from Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ and ‘Holiday’ videos, teaches a Contemporary Class for us. We also have Zumba and Bokwa for adults. Bokwa is a cool new exercise dance class based on the alphabet. There’s a lot of variety here, something for everyone.”

Something for everyone there is, including Acro, which focuses on flexibility and dance tricks. There’s modeling class, voice lessons, pre-school classes and many advanced classes. Private lessons are also available. Learn more online at www.allthatjazzda.com or call 609-585-8580.

Those dancers wishing to pursue a dancing career, or simply love to dance, enroll in the Pre-Professional Program. It consists of all dance disciplines plus a weekly technique and choreography class. Open to those eight and older, the Program includes a trip to New York City for a dance class.

“At All That Jazz, there no mandatory recital, ad, shirt or DVD purchases, and siblings pay less,” said Delpopolo. “Classes run the full amount of time so you get the most from your money.

The entire All That Jazz Dance Academy staff invites those interested to stop by for a free lesson and to experience what makes this studio different from the rest.
