Capital Singers of Trenton presents a season of new and traditional works, including a premiere, this concert season. The opening performance of the season, “Under Heaven,” features the Capital Singers Women’s Ensemble and Associate Conductor Ellen J. Dondero, who will be conducting her final performance after serving the organization as a charter member since 2006. Capital Singers will end the fall by collaborating with the Warminster Symphony. “A Holiday to Remember” will feature treasured holiday works, a family friendly sing-a-long, and Handel’s iconic “Hallelujah Chorus.” “Winter Songs XVIII: Blow Thou Winter Wind” will feature Elaine Hagenberg’s “Illuminare,” a contemporary multi-movement work. In the spring, the ensemble is pleased to provide the New Jersey premiere of a commissioned work, “We Are Phoenix” by Timothy Takach. The season will end with “Lighter Fare: A Cabaret,” with songs from classic music theater to modern day. For more information on performances, please visit www.capitalsingers.org.
