Summer camp is great opportunity for your child to try new activities, make new friends and create lasting memories. Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County is proud to offer summer camp for kids ages 5 – 15 at our Spruce Street Community Center in Lawrence. Our programs are designed to enhance our campers’ self-esteem and leadership skills through structured activities and interactive themes. This summer we are offering:

Kids Camp (Ages 5 – 10). Kids Camp offer weekly themed activities and trips to tap into the curiosity and wonder of all our campers. Campers will enjoy swimming, outdoor play, arts & crafts, reading, arcade, sports and other fun activities. Each week, campers will also take a field trip to local attractions.

Summer Travel Camp (Ages 11 – 15). Summer Travel Campers participate in various fun and diverse half-day and full-day field trips to local and regional attractions throughout the week. Some of our confirmed trips include: Camden Aquarium, Dave and Busters, iPlay America, Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum and NYC, Liberty Science Center, Lincoln Financial Field and Colonial Bowling & Laser Tag.

Summer Specialty Camp. Does your child have a love of dancing, art, gymnastics, karate, science or cooking? Why not continue supporting their passions during the summer? The Spruce Street Community Center offers a number of specialty camps for various ages throughout the summer: Dance & Gymnastics presented by The Rech Center for Performing Arts, Karate presented by KickQuest Martial Arts, STEM presented by Rutgers 4-H Cooking presented by Cafe BG; and Art presented by Artworks Trenton.

Last Blast Camp (August 21 – September 1). Each day at Last Blast Camp, campers go on a field trip, have a theme day (Carnival, Olympics, Amazing Race, etc.) or can choose between featured activities of their choice (Sports, Cooking, Science, Arcade, Computers, Art, etc.) to design their own camp experience.

Here’s what some of last year’s parents said about Summer Camp:

“My child had a blast this Summer! The field trips were wonderful and I can’t wait for my child to come back next year. She is also in the after school program during the school year.”

“Both of my two children really enjoyed themselves this summer at the BGC. Thanks for making their summer camp experience wonderful.”

BGC Summer Camp programs begin June 26 and end September 1. Camp hours run 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Preschool summer options are also available for children under 5 years old. For more information or to register, please visit www.bgcmercer.org or call 609-695-6060 ext. 0.
