The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) will hold its Fall Open House on Saturday, September 12, from 12 to 3 p.m. This free, family-friendly event is an ideal opportunity for visitors of all ages to learn about ACP’s fall classes and workshops, community programs and events, ACP membership, volunteer opportunities, and meet ‘n greet ACP’s instructors.
Highlights of this year’s Open House include a painting demonstration from ACP’s Anne Reeves Artist-in-Residence, Faraz Khan, live music, visual and performing arts, the Paul Robeson Center Treasure Hunt, and Halo Pub ice cream. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet ACP’s instructors who will conduct demos and workshops in various mediums — including drawing and painting, weaving, photography, dance, and more.
While touring the building, the ACP’s award-winning Taplin Gallery will be open to view the Annual Member Exhibition. Each year, talented member-artists of all ages contribute their work to this exhibition. The Annual Members Exhibition will be on view from September 8 to 26. All are invited to attend the Opening Reception for the Annual Members Exhibition immediately following the Open House from 3 to 5 p.m.
The Arts Council of Princeton, founded in 1967, is a non-profit organization with a mission of Building Community through the Arts. Housed in the landmark Paul Robeson Center for the Arts, designed by architect Michael Graves, the ACP fulfills its mission by presenting a wide range of programs including exhibitions, performances, free community cultural events, and studio-based classes and workshops in the visual, performing, and literary arts.
