Boheme Opera NJ’s milestone 35th anniversary season comes to a rousing climax with the concert event of 2024. The 35th Anniversary Reunion Concert on May 5 at Hillman Performance Hall on the Princeton Campus of Westminster Choir College at Rider University is a chance to experience the operatic excitement that has endured since Boheme Opera first took to the main stage in 1989.

World-class artists have been the foundation of every Boheme Opera production. The 35th Anniversary Reunion Concert continues that tradition by turning the spotlight on performers whose careers have taken them from Boheme Opera to the rest of the country, around the globe and back to the company’s regional stage for this reunion event.

Joseph Pucciatti, Boheme Opera’s Artistic Director, said “Artists make the stories come to life — and from 1989 to today, we are proud to have given many new and rising stars the spotlight – either on stage or in role debuts.” Company Managing Director Sandra M. Pucciatti added, “Those stars will brighten the stage for our May 5th 35th Anniversary Reunion Concert, shining the light on our past — and our future.”

Highlighting the artists taking the stage are baritone Daniel Sutin, who made his Boheme Opera debut in 2000 as Baron Scarpia in “Tosca” and whose stellar international career has taken him to the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Royal Opera House Covent Garden and many more. Soprano Sungji Kim, who made her company premier in 2008, has graced stages in Europe, Asia, Russia, Canada and throughout the United States. Internationally acclaimed contralto Alison Bolshoi first appeared with Boheme Opera in the company’s 2019 production of “Aida” and has quickly become an artistic force on Boheme Opera’s main stage.

In 1981, the Pucciattis planted the seed that would grow into Boheme Opera NJ. For eight evolutionary years, The Boheme Opera Club presented concert series, outdoor festivals and dinner opera. Then, in 1989, Boheme Opera NJ was born. Thirty-five years later, audiences continue to be riveted by breathtaking productions driven by stories that resonate through time and artists whose electrifying performances make time stand still.

Boheme Opera NJ invites audiences to relive all those moments and years – and join the company in looking forward to those to come — at its 35th Anniversary Reunion Concert at 3 p.m. on May 5 at Hillman Performance Hall on the Princeton Campus of Westminster Choir College at Rider University.

Hillman Performance Hall is located at 101 Walnut Lane, Princeton, NJ, with ample free parking available near the hall. Tickets are $25 for general admission and can be purchased online at www.bohemeopera.org/35th-anniversary-reunion-concert or at the door one hour before curtain.
