Call for Volunteers
The Old Barracks is participating in Park Day in conjunction with American Battlefield Trust. Volunteers ages 12 and older are invited to join for some spring cleaning on Saturday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring a rake and gloves. Volunteers will be offered a free tour at the conclusion of the event as a thank you for their efforts.

Villagers Theatre in Somerset is always looking for those who may be interested in being part of the theatre, from volunteer production crew to cast members. No experience is necessary.
The volunteer run, non-union/non-equity community theatre on occasion offers stipends to experienced staff for some critical crew positions.
All those interested in volunteering to be part of the crew, must also fill out our printed Agreement/Waiver Forms (to be provided by a Producer).
• House staff roles include: house manager; box office manager; ushers; concession attendants; and facilities management.
• Advertising and public relations roles include: advertising, marketing, public relations, and grant writing.
• Production leadership positions include: technical director; master carpenter; producer; assistant producer; director; musical director; choreographer; and stage manager.
• Production design positions includes set designer; scenic designer; lighting designer; sound designer; and costume designer.
• Production crew positions include: assistant director; assistant stage manager; set carpenter/builder; set dresser; lighting/sound board operator; prop coordinator; costume dresser; hair/makeup; and stage hands.

New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS), a division of New York Blood Center, which provides blood for local patients, is looking for a few good volunteers. The blood drive volunteer is an integral member of our team whose tasks include assisting donors with registration and/or at the refreshment area. No medical background necessary.
Volunteers should be outgoing to provide friendly customer service, be able to perform tasks as needed and must provide proof of COVID Vaccination prior to volunteering. Must have transportation. For Adult Learners
Literacy NJ Mercer is offering free GED (HSE) Classes starting Monday, April 3, for Mercer County residents ages 18 years and older. These free classes will be held online on Zoom.
Classes will run for two hours once a week and cover reading, writing, and math materials found on the Hi-Set exam (a high school equivalency or HSE exam to earn an HSE diploma). Math classes are on Monday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Reading & Writing on Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m.

Literacy NJ Mercer is offering free Citizenship classes from April to June 2023. These are free 12-week sessions. Classes start the week of April 3. Students can choose between in-person or online classes. Online classes will be on Zoom on Monday evenings, 6 to 8 p.m. In-person classes will be at Princeton Public Library on Wednesday evenings, 6 to 8 p.m.
