Call for Volunteers

Art All Night Trenton, the city’s premier 24-hour annual community arts event and fundraiser presented by Artworks Trenton, is seeking dedicated volunteers to help bring this year’s celebration of creativity to life. Scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 29 and 30, the event will transform its new home — the War Memorial Theatre on Memorial Drive in downtown Trenton — into a vibrant hub of artistic expression, featuring local artists, live music, interactive workshops, and more.

Volunteers are the driving force behind the success of Art All Night Trenton. Their dedication and hard work play a crucial role in ensuring the event runs smoothly and safely. Opportunities are available for individuals of all ages and skill levels, from helping with set-up and tear-down to assisting artists and performers, managing crowds, facilitating workshops, and providing information to attendees.

“We rely on the enthusiasm and dedication of our volunteers to help create an unforgettable, welcoming, and inclusive event experience for the community,” said Craig Shofed, managing director of Artworks Trenton. “Volunteering is a fantastic way to support the arts, meet new people, and be part of something truly special right here in Trenton.”

All volunteers will receive an Art All Night Trenton T-shirt, refreshments, and endless amounts of appreciation and gratitude from event organizers. Additionally, this is an excellent opportunity for students to earn community service hours.

“We invite everyone to join us in making Art All Night Trenton 2024 an extraordinary event,” said Kenya Bullock, Art All Night Trenton’s volunteer coordinator. “By volunteering your time and talents, you will be part of a one-of-a-kind showcase that spotlights the incredible talent and creativity within the Trenton community.”

Interested individuals can sign up to volunteer by visiting the Art All Night Trenton website at www.artallnighttrenton.org/volunteer. The deadline for volunteer registration is Saturday, June 15.

Call for Vendors

The Arts Council of Princeton is accepting applications from vendors for its flea market-style yART sale through Friday, June 14.

The event takes place Saturday, August 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is no rain date — in the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.

This sale is intended as an opportunity to clean out your studio and sell seconds, discounted items with small flaws, etc. Prices of individual items available at your table should not exceed $100.

The event will be held “flea market-style”: vendors are responsible for bringing their own tables that may not exceed a 10’x10’ space. Tents will not be permitted at the yART sale.

The event will take place outdoors surrounding the Arts Council’s Paul Robeson Center for the Arts, located at 102 Witherspoon Street. Vendors will be assigned space in the parking lot, on the terrace, and in nearby spaces around our building. No roads will be closed to accommodate the sale.

There is a non-refundable $10 application fee. Accepted vendors will be notified by June 28. A $25 table fee applies. For more information or to access the vendor application, visit www.artscouncilofprinceton.org. For questions, email Melissa at mkuscin@artscouncilofprinceton.org.
