Off-Broadstreet Theater: Please Excuse the Renovations

We are excited to announce Off-Broadstreet is getting bathrooms on the lower level!! For many years our patrons have scaled the steps to the upper level but soon there will be handicapped accessible bathrooms just inside the lobby! Our landlord has opted to renovate the theater at the same time, which will bring some wonderful changes, but unfortunately will mean having to postpone the upcoming series to the fall.

We will miss you during the summer months but we hope you will be pleased with the renovations and think it was worth the wait when you return.

Bob and I will continue working during the hiatus. Since we are being required to move 30 years of props and costumes from the attic, we will be sorting and reorganizing. Once we have a firm re-opening date, we will have to reapply for rights for a new series. Casts will be selected, rehearsals will begin, and we will be back in business! We anticipate coming back with our full Main Stage series, our Children’s Classic Series, and possibly adding a concert series to the mix.

We will keep you posted but hope to present a few musicales or small productions during the hiatus. Unfortunately many of our costs will continue during the break. Things like the shop space we rent for set building and storage, insurances, and many incidental costs can not just be put on hold.

We will be keeping our phone (609-466-2766) and our website (www.off-broadstreettheatre.com), and will return any messages as they come in.

We thank you for your loyalty and hope you will re-join us as we venture into the new series with our more patron-friendly facility.
