Letter: Give Third Parties a Voice and a Chance

Diversity is a beautiful word that enriches life. This November we have another election but many voices are not going to be heard. There is a blatant discrimination against third party and independent candidates. Polling organization will not include third party candidates. League of Woman Voters and other sponsors of candidate forums will only include Republican and Democratic nominees. Third party candidates are not invited . Their views are censored. This actions subverts a true democracy.

The media is also at fault. I asked several people in the media and polling organizations why don’t they include third party candidates, The answer is always the same. They say in the past third party candidates only got a few votes. The reason why they get few votes is because the media , polling organization, and candidate forums will not allow more choices. We should have an alternative to the old corrupt political system.
