Latinos make up a growing proportion of Trenton’s population, so it’s no wonder that Latino-owned businesses have been on the rise, contributing to economic development and revitalization in the capital city.

The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce will explore this business trend on Tuesday, August 9, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Trenton Country Club. $30. For information, visit www.princetonchamber.org or call 609-924-1776.

Mayor Eric Jackson will speak at the event. A panel will be moderated by John Thurber of Thomas Edison State University and Francis Blanco, chief of staff to Jackson. Speakers include Rosa Rosado, president of RFM Management; Luis O. de La Hoz, senior VP of Intersect Fund and board member of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber; Diana Rogers of the Economic Development Council; and Lillian Mauro, assistant regional director, of county/Spanish projects for the Small Business Development Center of New Jersey.
