Thanet Property Sold to KABR Group

Two office buildings at 100 and 101 Thanet Circle have been sold to KABR, a Ridgefield Park-based real estate company that says it will “reposition” the buildings. The sale is the death knell for a plan for the Princeton school district to purchase the buildings for use as a headquarters and school bus storage. According to reporting by Planet Princeton, an official said the township had been pressuring the school district to buy the office buildings and possibly put a school there specifically so that affordable housing could not be built on the site, which is just north of the Princeton Shopping Center off Terhune Road.

The seller was not disclosed but public records show the property was owned by “Series F-Clarendon Re LLC.”

The buildings were formerly the headquarters of Church & Dwight, which is now located at Princeton South Corporate Plaza in Ewing.

KABR Group has redeveloped and renovated properties in New York and New Jersey. It is curently partnered with Kushner Companies (run by Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner’s family) on a currently stalled project to build two 66-story office buildings in Jersey City. The two companies are embroiled in a lawsuit against Jersey City, accusing the municipality of injecting “anti-Trump politics” into its dealings.
