Somewhere between self-help and self-promotion lies self-awareness, says Tamara Jacobs, a Princeton-based strategist, coach, and author. Jacobs will present a workshop Friday, June 10, from 9:45 a.m. until noon at the Professional Service Group meeting in the community room of the Princeton Public Library. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan, Jacobs (U.S. 1, December 31, 2013) also attended Mount Holyoke College. A certified professional coach, she has worked as a community activist, a member of the New Jersey Task Force on Bioterrorism, and a former judge for the Miss America Pageant, and a member of the Women’s Leadership Board at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She is married to an investment banking executive, David Epstein, and is the mother of a Syracuse University BFA graduate, pursuing a professional theater career.
Jacobs has presented more than 3,000 keynotes and workshops. Her book for inclusive meetings is titled “Enlist To Lead.” She has also been a guest on World News Tonight, MSNBC, Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, Your World with Neil Cavuto, and Fox News. Her articles have been featured in the New York Times, Fortune, Family Circle, Woman’s Day, and Woman’s World.
Her new book, Your Ultimate Success Plan, published by Career Press, was released Spring, 2015. Signed copies will be available for sale at the end of her presentation.
