Clarksville Road Building Sold

The 13,000-square-foot office building at 191 Clarksville Road has been sold to an unidentified investor for $2.19 million. The deal was brokered by Jonathan Glick of Sheldon Gross Realty.

The unique space constructed in 1985 was until recently the headquarters of marketing firm CMA, which relocated to East Windsor at the beginning of May (U.S. 1, April 30).

Located in a corridor of office and lab spaces, the building is ideal for conversion to a lab use, Glick noted.

“This property checks every box for a pharma company,” Glick says. “My client specializes in supporting organizations in that sector, so the proximity to leading industry players and the flexibility of the space make this transaction an exceptional opportunity.”

Church & Dwight to Acquire Touchland

Ewing-based consumer goods company Church & Dwight has signed an agreement to acquire the Touchland hand sanitizer brand. The total purchase price of up to $880 million includes $700 million at closing, consisting of cash and Church & Dwight restricted stock, and a payment up to $180 million contingent on Touchland’s 2025 net sales. The deal is expected to close by the end of June.

Touchland sells its products in the U.S. and Canada and recently entered the Middle East market through cosmetics retailer Sephora. Its net sales from March 31, 2024, to March 31, 2025, were roughly $130 million. The Miami-based brand sells scented body mists and one-ounce hand sanitizer sprays with prices beginning at $10.

“We are thrilled to add Touchland as our eighth power brand to our portfolio of market-leading brands,” said Rick Dierker, Church & Dwight’s chief executive officer. “Further, we’re excited to welcome the Touchland team to Church & Dwight and partner with its founders, Andrea Lisbona and Ruggero Grammatico, to drive the next stage of growth for the brand.

“Touchland has built a loyal consumer base through its differentiated consumer proposition and is driving growth in the hand sanitizer category,” Dierker added. “The brand skews towards younger consumers and already has a high level of brand loyalty and repeat purchase in line with category leaders.”

“We are excited to partner with Andrea, Ruggero and the team to innovate and build a premium personal care brand which consumers love,” Dierker added. “Recently, Touchland has expanded into Canada and the Middle East, and we plan to leverage our capabilities to accelerate the growth of Touchland in select international markets. Touchland’s founders are expected to remain and continue to run the business while leveraging Church & Dwight’s scale and capabilities. We intend to maintain the Miami location and retain Touchland’s employees. Touchland is nimble and asset-light, and should be an excellent fit at Church & Dwight.

Touchland’s founder is thrilled about the partnership with Church & Dwight. “My vision is to have a Touchland product in the hands of every consumer. I am confident this vision will be accelerated by leveraging Church & Dwight’s expertise and scale to introduce Touchland to more consumers globally. Our journey is still in the early innings and Church & Dwight is the right partner to take Touchland through its next stage of growth,” said Andrea Lisbona, the founder and CEO of Touchland.
