SpectraMD USA, an electronic health records company, moved some time ago from its office on 66 Witherspoon Street to a new address in East Windsor due to the company expanding. NRG Energy Inc., an energy firm based in Carnegie Center, has acquired Energy Curtailment Specialists, one of the largest private demand response providers in North America. ECS offers business customers ways to contribute to energy load reduction during times of peak demand. Energy Curtailment Specialists currently manages demand response across the country for more than 5,000 customers.
Energy Curtailment Specialists’ headquarters will remain in the Buffalo area. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

International events organizer Hannover Fairs USA is leaving its Research Way office for Chicago.
Hannover Fairs, which employs 10 to 15 full-time workers, is relocating in order to be closer to O’Hare Airport and its clients who attend trade fairs in the midwest. The company is a subsidiary of German firm Deutsche Messe.

Eastern Properties has hired Jeanne Rothenberg as its new executive vice president of marketing and leasing for its Cedar Brook Corporate Center. Prior to joining Eastern, Rothenberg, a 27-year industry veteran, served as vice president at NAI DiLeo-Bram, as well as vice oresident at Grubb & Ellis.
A licensed broker and certified commercial investment member, Rothenberg has represented a broad base, with a specialty in life sciences and technology companies.

Security software developer IXP Corporation, based in Princeton Forrestal Village, has hired a new executive team. Joining the firm are new CEO William E. Metro; COO Lawrence D. Consalvos, and senior VP Amy Onder. Metro and Consalvos were original founders of IXP.
During the past four years, IXP has added nearly 100 new positions and by the end of 2013 will have more than 140 employees. Revenues also have increased 50 percent since January, 2012.
In addition to GIS and IT management, the company is being tapped to provide a variety of managed services in the public safety realm. IXP supports utility companies and its global infrastructures, as well as law enforcement and municipalities, colleges and universities, hospitals, and corporations.
Metro was COO of IXP since 2006. Prior to founding IXP, he was a director of international business development for Electronic Data Systems, and director of engineering for MCI Systemhouse.
Consalvos began his career as a police officer in New Jersey and then went on to public safety and corporate executive positions at City University of New York, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Honeywell Corporation, and Electronic Data Systems.
Since joining IXP in 2007, Onder served as in-house counsel and later joined the board of directors. Prior to working at IXP, she was an attorney with Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis-Cohen LLP in Philadelphia.
One of IXP’s recent contracts was the privatization of the 911 Emergency Call Center in Lawrence Township.
