#bOnePrinceton System Launches#/b#
OnePrinceton, a smartphone and card-based payment system for Princeton merchants, launched October 14.
This new technology allows enrolled merchants to channel 1 percent of their sales totals to a local nonprofit group selected by the customer, or to a pool of money shared by various charities. It also charges merchants lower fees than credit or debit cards.
OnePrinceton was created by Nassau Street-based payment processing company Heartland Payment Systems (See story, U.S. 1, September 18).
Robert Carr, Heartland’s CEO and chairman, initiated the program to encourage shoppers to go to local merchants. “Now, every time you buy your groceries, clothes, books, toys — whatever you ordinarily buy — you will automatically be helping one of your local non-profit organizations, which do so much to enhance the quality of life in our community,” he said.
OnePrinceton was introduced at the Princeton Farmers Market in September. As of October 1, more than 50 local merchants and 10 non-profits have joined the program.

Davidson Hotels & Resorts has announced the completion of a $19 million makeover of the Princeton Hyatt Regency hotel.
Changes include a new 175-seat Mediterranean restaurant named Artisan Kitchen & Lounge; a revamped fitness center and indoor pool; and refurbishments to all 330 guest rooms with new carpets and furnishings, said a press release from Davidson, which has managed the hotel since 2011.
Also, the hotel’s meeting space has been expanded to 32,000 square feet and can accommodate events for up to 1,200 people. Highlights include an all-glass private dining room for parties and chef events; a 4,300-square-foot junior ballroom; a state-of-the-art business center; 30 meeting rooms; and 11 new meeting/breakout rooms
“This much needed update was really dictated by customer demand,” said Dianne Pepe, director of sales and marketing for Hyatt Regency Princeton. “We’re ecstatic for our guests to revel in this new look and feel.”

Satellite radio provider Sirius XM has renewed its 27,500-square foot at 900 Lenox Drive. The office is located in the eight-building, 800,000-square-foot Princeton Pike Corporate Center, which is owned by Prism Capital Partners LLC.
The companies did not divulge the terms of the lease, but called the deal a “long-term renewal transaction” in a news release. Bob Morford of Morford & Dodds Realty represented the firm in the deal.
Sirius XM has maintained an operations center at 989 Lenox Drive since 2008.
Princeton Pike Corporate Center, which was constructed between 1984 and the early 1990s, was acquired by Prism earlier this year. The company recently launched a capital improvement program, including elevator modernizations, common area and restroom renovations, roof replacements, and parking lot repairs.
Other companies in the complex include Wells Fargo Advisors, Stark & Stark, Princeton Healthcare Services, Fox Rothschild LLP, MetLife Solutions Group, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, and Ono Pharma USA.

Innovative Logistics, a provider of support and distribution services for the publishing industry, is moving from Lakewood to East Windsor.
The company, which has been owned and operated by Robert Hughes for six years, is moving to an 84,000-square-foot office on a 10.6-acre tract at 406 Wyckoffs Mill Road. The space will be used as a distribution center and for offices and storage, according to a news release.
Innovative currently has 30 employees and plans to add 15 more.
“The Wyckoffs Mill Road location allows Innovative Logistics to take full advantage of the redesigned East Windsor Interchange 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike, which will greatly assist them with their focus on worldwide distribution,” said East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov.
Hughes said the company chose East Windsor because of its business-friendly atmosphere and “outstanding location.”
Innovative Logistics processes the shipping and receiving of hundreds of thousands of books annually. It specializes in delivering sales and fulfillment services covering all aspects of book distribution for publishers world-wide who do not have their own infrastructure.
The company offers credit and collections, sales, marketing, and technology for warehousing, logistics, and distribution. Its customer base consists of 63 publishers of art, architecture, children’s, and topical books.

In an SEC prospectus associated with plans to raise up to $57.5 million in a stock offering, Mirati said that it expected to lay off about 27 employees, or about 75 percent of its workforce, in connection with closing its offices in Montreal and Princeton.
The biotech recently moved its headquarters to San Diego from Montreal.
