Senator International, a global shipping company, has closed its office in North Brunswick. The office served as regional headquarters for the Hamburg-based firm, and had five employees there.

Deaths

James K. Randall, 84, on May 28. A composer, music theorist, and professor at Princeton University, Randall described himself as one of the “granddaddies of computer music.”

Robert C. Johnston, 83, on June 1. A lawyer, he was vice president and general counsel for Squibb Medical Products Group and a partner at the Princeton firm of Smith, Stratton, Wise, Heher & Brennan.

A. Walton Litz Jr., 84, on June 4. He was a literary historian and critic who served as professor of English at Princeton University from 1956 to 1993.

Joseph J. Kupin, 62, on June 6. He was a researcher at the Center for Communications Research and was a deacon at St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
