Smithers Avanza, a contract research organization, has built a bioanalytical laboratory on Silvia Street in Ewing Township. Frank M. Rotella is director of operations at the new facility.
Rotella will have responsibility for laboratory operations including project management, study support, laboratory support, and supervision of the scientific teams.
“Frank has an impressive background in scientific leadership, having developed a number of innovative analytical techniques that will benefit our clients,” said Dr. Ira DuBey, President of Smithers Avanza. “He has a history of building strong partnerships and will support our clients with the highest level of service.”
Rotella has 20 years of experience in the large molecule biotherapeutic industry. He previously worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as a sample operations lead, and at Janssen R&D in the biologics clinical pharmacology department.
He has a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from The College of New Jersey.
