Tim Lizura, president and COO of the NJEDA, is leaving the authority after a 22-year career, according to reports. Lizura joined the authority in 1996 on the real estate team and has held a number of roles over the years, becoming president in 2012.

In a letter to employees obtained by the magazine ROI-NJ, Lizura said the July board meeting would be his last.

Lizura’s tenure at the EDA was interrupted by a two-year stint beginning in 2006 when he was director of the World Trade Center Redevelopment Department at the Port Authority.

He has a bachelor’s in economics and an MBA, both from Rutgers.
