Keep Middlesex Moving, Middlesex County’s nonprofit transportation management association, is seeking nominations for its annual NJ Smart Workplaces awards. The awards recognize companies for programs that promote and provide commuting alternatives to their employees, such as carpooling, flexible work hours, teleworking, and promotion of mass transit.

Announced last week, nominations are due by April 15.

Smart Worklplaces offers four levels of awards: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. To qualify for a bronze level award, a company must meet certain guidelines, such as articipating with a local transportation management association, regularly promoting commute options at the worksite via memos, E-mail, or Intranet, providing a commuting subsidy to employees, or providing transit passes for employees.

Entry is free. For information, contact Cristina C. Fowler at 732-745-4318 or cfowler@kmm.org.
