Electric vehicles will be the focus when the Trenton Computer Festival returns for 2023 in a hybrid format, with events in person at The College of New Jersey and talks steamed online. The 47th annual festival takes place Saturday, March 18, from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and includes ten tracks of talks, workshops, and exhibits; a keynote address; and a closing banquet. Talks, tutorials, and workshops are related all forms of computer/digital electronics, information and communications technology, the environment, robotics, gaming, digital home entertainment, video/photography, wireless technology, social networking, amateur radio related topics, education and STEM.
The keynote speaker is Lee Goldberg, author of “Green Electronics” and a contributing editor of Electronic Design Magazine. An EV Car Show with the opportunity to test drive EVs takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting.
Other talks related to the EV theme include “Clearing up Common Misconceptions about Electric Cars” by Liz Najman; “How Green Is an Electric Vehicle?” with Jonathon Allen; “Embedded Computing in Modern day Electric Vehicles” by Sharan Kalwani; and “Program your EV using Python and ODB-II” with Chuck Knight.
