Pamela A. Holland, 71, on January 9. She had retired after 34 years with the Mercer County Board of Social Services.

Phyllis Jackson, 64, on January 11. She worked at Trenton Water Works for 20 years.

Virginia Longo, 69, on January 12. She worked at Grounds For Sculpture in Hamilton.

LaVerne Edna Deik Hebert, 95, on January 8. With her husband she operated the Montgomery-based Copy Cat printing business, later known as LDH Printing. She also served as treasurer of the Rocky Hill Fire Company and was an original member of the Princeton Medical Center Auxiliary.

Jean Bourgain, 64, on December 22. A professor of mathematics at the Institute for Advanced Study since 1994, he won the Fields Medal in 1994 and the $3 million Breakthrough Prize in 2017.

Fred Gmitter, 82, on January 17. He taught and coached in the Trenton school system. He also served on the Hamilton school board and council, as Hamilton mayor, and on the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders. He was also proprietor of the Golden Goose Inn restaurant in Hamilton.
