Tyco International on Roszel Road and Bristol-Myers Squibb on Scudders Mill Road have both awarded Meals on Wheels of Trenton/Ewing $10,000 grants to provide meals to low income homebound residents.

“We are thrilled to receive this support from Tyco International and Bristol-Meyers Squibb, local corporations committed to helping those in need in our community,” said Judy Shouse Levy, executive director of Meals on Wheels. “We strive never turn anyone away due to their inability to pay. This award will provide 1,905 meals to our clients.” She says both companies have been, “strong supporters in the past and we truly appreciate their renewed partnership in our mission.”

Founded in 1973 by the Visiting Nurse Association, local congregations, and civic leaders, Meals on Wheelsmore than 170 meals each day to homebound residents in the Trenton/Ewing area.

The organization is seeking volunteers for the Trenton and Ewing routes. Anyone interested in donating or delivering meals to the homebound should call 609-695-3483, E-mail volunteer@mowte.org, or visit www.mowte.org.
