Several New Jersey companies are offering goods and services to the earthquake relief effort in Haiti.

Johnson & Johnson, based in New Brunswick, has shipped “large quantities” of Band-Aids, Purell hand sanitizer, Tylenol, and first-aid kits, and has offered a 2-to-1 match on donations made by U.S. employees to non-profits working on the relief effort, according spokeswoman Carol Goodrich.

Bristol-Myers Squibb shipped more than 55,000 kits of antibiotics and painkillers and donated another shipment of medicine to Project Hope and sent money to the Red Cross.

Wegmans supermarkets will be accepting donations from customers on behalf of the American Red Cross’ relief efforts in Haiti, through Saturday, January 23.

And restaurateur Vinnie Capuano, who runs six restaurants in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including Carlucci’s Grill in West Windsor, will donate 25 percent of the income his restaurants make on Monday and Tuesday, January 25 and 26.

Verizon, which has several offices and retail storefronts in the area, recently gave$150,000 to Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Education to develop the “Educational Leaders of the 21st Century” program. The program seeks to better prepare students for careers in the digital world.

Cartridge Renewal Systems in Manalapan is collecting all occasion used greeting cards to benefit St. Jude Ranch for children. The children use the front of the cards and attach a new back, then reselling them. E-mail jackie@cartridgerenewal.com for more information.
