ClinPhone, a clinical technology company with its U.S. headquarters at Windsor Corporate Park, has been sold to Boston-based Parexel for a reported $182 million. ClinPhone, now doing business as Perceptive Informatics, has its headquarters in the United Kingdom. The company has more than 600 workers worldwide, 300 of them at the Windsor Corporate Park site.

Founded in 1993, ClinPhone developed interactive voice response systems for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. It will add these resources to Parexel’s wholly-owned technology subsidiary, Perceptive Informatics, with ClinPhone’s former CEO, Steve Kent, as president.

ClinPhone reportedly turned down a Parexel offer in February and was also negotiating with another competitor, Quintiles. Parexel has announced that it will hold a press conference to discuss details of its purchase of Clinphone on Monday, September 8.
