The Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its annual Business Leadership Awards Gala, scheduled to take place in a virtual setting on Thursday, December 3. Nominations are due by Friday, September 18.

“In light of the vast challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has presented, the Business Leadership Awards Gala will recognize and honor leaders in our community who are helping all of us navigate through the global storm,” the Chamber notes. “When making your recommendations, we ask that you give special consideration to individuals whose work efforts have made a difference throughout our communities.”

Awards are given in four categories.

The Business Leader of the Year Award “recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the communities of the Princeton-Mercer Region” and serves as a role model for others.

The Community Leader of the Year Award honors a chamber member “who is seen as a community leader, a concerned and engaged citizen or organization that demonstrates the spirit of giving through volunteerism and/or philanthropy and is dedicated to improving the Princeton-Mercer Region.”

The Innovator of the Year Award “recognizes an individual, business, or organization that has been instrumental in promoting change and innovation in their industry, their field of interest, or in the communities of the Princeton-Mercer Region.”

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award is given based on Small Business Administration guidelines and takes into account factors including sales, job growth, and community contributions.
