Many daily activities — using electricity, driving a car, and disposing waste — create greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change. Altering those habits in the right direction can improve the local environment and help the larger goal of global sustainability.
To assist in this endeavor, Sustainable Princeton, an environmental group, has conducted a scientific examination of the various greenhouse gases emitted in the municipality. The group will share the results of Princeton’s first-ever emissions inventory and discuss actions that can reduce the town’s carbon footprint. Mark A. Zondlo, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at Princeton University, will deliver opening remarks.
