Call for Nominations: NJ Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards

The New Jersey Business Immigration Coalition is seeking nominations for its annual New Jersey Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards.

“Throughout New Jersey’s history, immigrant entrepreneurs have helped power the state’s economic growth, technological innovation, and prosperity,” the coalition says in a statement. “Through their talent, risk-taking, and hard work, they have accelerated growth in emerging industries and fueled the competitiveness of existing industries. They have also helped to revitalize depressed communities.”

The awards, now in their 12th year, are how the coalition recognizes these contributions. Awards are given in six categories: innovation; growth; advocacy; nonprofit achievement; rising star; and entrepreneur of the year.

To make a nomination, visit njbusinessimmigration.org/Nominations. Nominations are due by Saturday, May 31.

This year’s awards will be presented at a special ceremony held in conjunction with the Statewide Multicultural Business Expo on June 24.
