Business & Beatles In Plainsboro

Tables are still available at the Plainsboro Business Showcase set to be held Tuesday, June 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Complex. The free event will feature a Beatles tribute concert with the Mahoney Brothers.

The Plainsboro Business Partnership and the Princeton Chamber of Commerce are hosting the event. Eileen Sinett, president of the Plainsboro Business Partnership, says she expects about 500 to 1,000 people to show up for the showcase. Tables are $150 for chamber members, and $200 for non-members at various rates.

“We’re bringing the businesses to the Plainsboro community with an event that we think will drive business to the vendors,” Sinett says. Locations are first-come, first-served. Successful attention-getting tactics include holding a giveaway drawing of business cards, or giving out coupons. “I think the main thing is to be there in good spirit and have a lot of fun,” Sinett says. “Most showcases don’t have major performances. This is like going to a free concert, with the benefit of those people attending stopping by your table.”
