Brandywine Buys New Home for CUH2A

Brandywine Realty Trust has bought 1000 Lenox Drive, the building that currently houses Highlands Insurance Group, and will lease it to CUH2A. Brandywine is a full-service real estate investment trust that owns 270 properties with 21 million square feet. It paid $7,575,000 for the property, including the 52,000 square foot building plus developable acres. Highlands has ceased writing insurance policies and is in a reorganization period.

John R.A. Scott, president of CUH2A, says his firm will move to Lenox Drive in November, 2003. CUH2A currently occupies 60,000 square feet at 211 and 104 Carnegie Center. The move, he says, will help eliminate space redundancies, but the staff size (288 here, plus those at offices in Atlanta, Chicago, and London) will remain the same. CUH2A does architecture, planning, and engineering (www.cuh2a.com).
